Special Saturday

To celebrate her Thai ID, Ben, Mindy and I took Wah Wah to visit her village near the Moie River. The tree in the background was planted when she was born. The building behind us, now a Budhist temple, is her birthplace.
Back in town we enjoyed dinner at Khao Mao Khao Fang, a restraunt with spectacular gardens and polynesian design. Her drink came in a coconut shell and we enjoyed Shrimp tempura, Chinese kale with salty fish, pork holy basil, calamari, and, of course, coconut ice cream (her favorite)! Not bad for a dusty bordertown.
